A massive fire outbreak on Tuesday evening ravaged several wooden structures at Ritz Junction in Madina, located in the Greater Accra Region. The inferno, which broke out under unclear circumstances, has left widespread destruction in its wake.

Eyewitness videos shared on social media captured the devastating blaze, with thick plumes of smoke billowing into the sky and flames rapidly consuming properties believed to be worth several thousands of Ghana cedis.

Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) swiftly responded to the scene but are reportedly facing significant challenges in bringing the fire under control due to the intensity of the blaze and the highly flammable nature of the structures involved.

As of the time of reporting, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, and no casualties have been confirmed.

Authorities are expected to launch an investigation into the incident once the fire is fully extinguished.
