A fire outbreak has ravaged the top floor of a two-storey hostel housing over 150 students of the Kwadaso SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College in the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Thanks to the swift response from the Ghana National Fire Service, the flames were contained before reaching the ground floor.

Though no injuries were reported—largely because many students were away for the Easter break—the blaze destroyed all belongings on the top floor, including mattresses, laptops, provisions, and essential study materials.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire, but investigations are currently underway.
