Serie A outfit Fiorentina are reportedly interested in securing the services of Ghanaian international Tariq Lamptey from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Italian club is considering Lamptey as a backup option for Brazilian defender Dodo as they kick off their new season this weekend.

Known more for his pace and technical ability than his physical presence, Lamptey offers dynamic support down the right flank, combining speed with intelligent attacking runs.

Lamptey’s campaign last season was hampered by recurring injuries, limiting him to just 15 appearances for Brighton.

Despite the setbacks, he managed to contribute two goals and several assists. In Brighton’s season opener against Fulham last weekend, Lamptey was not included in the matchday squad.

Since joining Brighton from Chelsea, the former right-back has accumulated 104 appearances, scoring three goals and establishing himself as a versatile option on the flank.
