It is ten years since Mike Madden purchased this historic camp and started restoring it to the way it looked when Ali trained here. We look forward to welcoming visitors again this year. Although we are open year-round by appointment, we are now open every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 5:00pm until the end of October.

All-Day Train Excursion to Fighter’s Heaven
Join us for a memorable all-day train excursion to Schuylkill County from Reading, PA! Your adventure begins with an arrival in Pottsville, where you can spend some time exploring the downtown and get a bite to eat at one of the local eateries.
After your time in Pottsville, a short shuttle bus ride will take you to Muhammad Ali’s legendary Deer Lake training camp, Fighter’s Heaven. While at Fighter’s Heaven, you’ll delve into the rich history of the camp and experience what it was like when Muhammad Ali trained in Schuylkill County.
As a special highlight, the excursion will feature a special guest: former sparring partner and two-time heavyweight champion, Tim Witherspoon. Passengers will have the unique opportunity to meet Tim for photos and autographs as he shares stories about life at the camp and his boxing career
Celebration of the 10th Anniversary of Muhammad Ali’s Passing
You are invited to a special celebration on Saturday, June 26th, as we commemorate the 10th anniversary of Muhammad Ali‘s passing. Hosted by “Iceman” John Scully, the day will include friendship and fellowship in honor of “The Greatest.” The day will begin in the afternoon and continue into the evening with a cookout and social gathering in the courtyard.
