G.B Jones, the Chief Safety and Security Officer for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has revealed that fans will not be allowed to enter the stadiums with drums and fireworks with smoke.

According to G.B Jones, fans from the various participating countries in the World Cup must learn and understand the stadium safety regulations before the tournament starts.

Speaking at a forum organized by the Africa Center of the Atlantic Council, Jones revealed that several fans will not be allowed to enter the stadium in the United States, Canada and Mexico with items such as musical instruments, fireworks and other pyrotechnic devices.

“With respect to what to bring to the World Cup, we want you to bring your passion, but leave your pyro. We don’t want the fireworks with the smoke or the pyrotechnicians in the stadium. But we want to embrace the passion,” Jones emphasised.

Jones urged fans to check FIFA’s official website and ticketing platforms for the full list of banned items to avoid inconveniences on matchdays.

“Please understand our prohibited items include those which will be listed on our website or on the ticket information. Know what you can and cannot bring to the stadium.”

“We want to ensure that you can get all your items into all the stadiums. Fans should bring what will help them celebrate, but within the limits set for safety,” Jones concluded.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars have been paired in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama.
