FIFA has officially enrolled the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in its Women’s National Team Preparation Programme, a strategic initiative aimed at improving performance through science-based training and holistic player development.

The programme, secured through the GFA’s Women’s Football Development Desk under its Technical Directorate, focuses on enhancing the physical conditioning of Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens.

Leading the initiative locally is Physical Preparation Lead Enoch Jordan Daitey, who serves as the team’s athletic coach. He is being mentored by performance expert Julian Haigh, providing strategic guidance on training methods and modern performance demands.

The programme adopts an evidence-based approach to conditioning and is structured around three key goals: preparing the Black Queens for major tournaments, delivering tailored performance strategies, and establishing best practices in player development.

Running from October 2025 to November 2026, the initiative follows an “Educate, Prepare and Complete” framework. It includes e-learning modules, online workshops, and an onsite training session scheduled in Frankfurt, Germany, from June 29 to July 3, 2026.

Level One has been completed, while Level Two is currently underway, with expectations of enhancing the technical capacity of Ghana’s coaching staff.
