A woman has been charged with murder after she allegedly mowed down her husband outside his home.
Bradly Bullock died outside his Stoneywood Street home in Fernvale, 60km west of Brisbane, at about 5.55pm on Sunday after he was allegedly hit by a car driven by his 45-year-old partner, Lacey Jay Bullock.
Bullock was arrested at the scene and has now been charged with one count of domestic violence murder and one count of disqualified driving.
Ipswich District Detective Inspector Mick Manago said the couple were known to police.
‘Police had been to that location previously for domestic and family-violence related matters,’ Insp. Manago said on Monday.
‘Domestic and family-violence related matters are something the QPS takes extremely seriously. We’re very committed to keeping the public safe, so it’s something that I don’t condone and has no place in society.’
Insp. Manago said the couple’s adult child was at the scene when the crash occurred.
It comes as neighbours reported hearing raised voices before the incident and are believed to have detained the woman until police arrived.

It is understood that neighbours also tried to give CPR to Mr Bullock before paramedics arrived, however it was too late, with the father having sustained critical injuries.
‘I was arriving home with my wife and kids, and we got flagged down saying there had been a massive incident just around the corner,’ neighbour Kyle Wilford said.
‘I found the body on the floor and started CPR straight away. Unfortunately, the man had no pulse.’
Mr Bullock’s daughter Bethany Hayes said her family were grappling with the loss.
‘At this point, we obviously have to say goodbye to our father,’ she told the Courier Mail, adding her brother saw the incident unfold.
‘My brother has probably never cried in his life. Definitely not in front of us anyway because, he’s a male, but he called me pretty much hyperventilating and he was wailing.’
Anyone who lives on Stoneywood Street and has any knowledge of the matter has been urged to contact police.
The woman remains at Ipswich Courthouse and is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
