Turkish Super Lig giants, Fenerbahçe have parted ways with the legendary coach, Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese coach, regarded by many as the greatest manager of all time has been fired by Fernebache following the team’s inability to qualify to the group stages of the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League.
Fenerbache were eliminated by Benfica from the last stage of the Champions League group stage qualifiers after drawing goalless at home and losing 1-0 on the road in Portugal.
The announcement confirming the exit of Jose Mourinho was made on the social media platforms of Fenerbache sighted by GhanaWeb Sports.
In a one paragraph statement, the club said “We have parted ways with Jose Mourinho, who has been the manager of our Professional Football A Team since the 2024-2025 season. We thank him for his efforts for our team and wish him success in his future career.”

Fenerbahçe appointed Jose Mourinho as their head coach on June 2, 2025 but the relationship has ended after barely a year and half.
He came as a replacement of İsmail Kartal who had guided Fenerbache to a second place in the league in the 2023/2024 football season.
