The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an urgent recall for snack food that contains undeclared milk.
The FDA confirmed the recall of curry-flavored Curvee Puffs Corn Puff Snack bags on January 20.
The recall includes 2.46 oz packages Shirakiku brand snacks that were distributed to retailers, restaurants, and online businesses in 38 states, including California, Texas, and New York.
Some of the recalled snack food packages were also exported to Mexico.
Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc. initiated the recall on January 17 after individuals noticed milk was not listed as an ingredient.
The last products with this error were shipped out on January 10, according to the announcement.
Shoppers with milk allergies who ingest this product could be at risk of life-threatening allergic reactions.
The product code on the UPC is 07441078512, and the FDA is urging shoppers who purchased the product to return them for a full refund.

The FDA advised customers who believe they purchased recalled products to look out for directions on how to receive a refund.
Shoppers who have not used the recalled product can receive a full refund from the store where they purchased it in most cases.
The FDA also recommended purchasers not to give the recalled product to other individuals or animals.
Customers who placed the snack product on other surfaces may want to consider cleaning the items before using them again.
Utensils that have come in contact with the contaminated food should be sanitized with one tablespoon of chlorine to one gallon of hot water, according to the FDA.
After the sanitization is completed, the FDA suggests washers dry the utensils with a clean cloth or unused paper towel.
The organization recommended shoppers wash their hands with soap and warm water after completing these steps.
Following these steps would lower the risk of shoppers developing health problems from the recall, according to MedlinePlus.

Milk allergies are common in the US and can cause allergic reactions from one’s immune system.
Severe milk allergies could cause anaphylaxis reactions, which can be fatal.
Someone who suffers mild allergic reactions from ingesting milk could experience vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, or swelling of the lips or tongue.
Besides anaphylaxis, severe symptoms include shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, and a drop in blood pressure.
The FDA recommends customers who have allergic reactions contact a medical professional to receive treatment.
Buyers also have the option to report the event or a complaint regarding illness on its website.
