After the sudden demise of a Kumasi-based Ghanaian TikTok, Elvis Frimpong, popularly known as Osanju, on September 1, 2025, his father has given a detailed account of what transpired before his death.

In an interview with GH Page, shared on social media on September 2, 2025, Osanju’s father confirmed that the late TikToker passed on in the early hours of Monday morning after he had complained of body pains the previous night.

Osanju’s father explained that he received a phone call from his late son’s landlady, who informed him that his son had been transferred to the hospital after being found lying on the floor in his room.

“I heard of this death on Monday morning. His landlady called me and informed me that my son isn’t feeling well, so he has been taken to the Mount Zion hospital in Koforidua. She informed me that before that morning, Osanju complained of body pains, so he wanted to go and rest.

“Only for her to wake in the morning and see his door open. So she checked up on him (Osanju) just to find out that he had vomited on himself while lying on the floor,” he said.

Osanju’s father, who couldn’t control his tears, added that the late TikToker was his breadwinner and only hope in life.

“He was my only hope. He was the one who fed me. Right now, I have no one to turn to again. All my children don’t have work. He was the only one earning from TikTok,” he added.
