Black Stars forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has called on Ghanaians to support the national team as they prepare to face Chad and Madagascar in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The Black Stars continue their quest to secure a spot at the 2026 World Cup, with upcoming matches against Chad in Accra and Madagascar in Morocco on March 21 and 24, 2025 respectively.

Despite high hopes of qualification, the Black Stars’ failure to secure a spot at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) has left many fans disconnected from the team.

However, in a video shared on the Ghana Football Association’s social media pages, Issahaku urged fans to cheer and support the team during these crucial games, emphasizing the players’ determination to give their all.

“We still need your support, and we are ready to fight for the nation as always. We hope to see you all in the stadium,” he said.

The Black Stars currently sit second in their group with nine points after four games and cannot afford to drop points if they are to represent Africa at the 2026 World Cup.
