A young Irish fashion designer found dead on a boat in the Hamptons town of Montauk, New York was not murdered, police have said.

The body of Martha Nolan-O’Slattara, 33, ‘did not show evidence of violence,’ Suffolk County Police Department announced Wednesday afternoon.

A police spokesperson said a preliminary examination of Nolan-O’Slattara’s remains was ‘inconclusive’ and that a cause of death is ‘pending further examination.’

Daily Mail asked Suffolk County Police if the death was drug-related, but they refused to comment. 

Nolan-O’Slattara was found dead on a boat called Ripple around midnight on Tuesday. Witnesses recalled screams ringing out around the same time.

A man had discovered her body inside the boat docked at the Montauk Yacht Club. Bystanders tried to perform CPR on her as first responders rushed to the scene.  

She was originally from Carlow, Ireland and moved to Manhattan, where she was living before her untimely death, in 2015. 

She founded the fashion brand East X East, a company specializing in luxury swimwear. 

The business was hosting a pop-up sale in Montauk, according to a social media post.
