Amid the mixed reactions following Fantana’s second appearance on Netflix’s popular ‘Young, Famous, and African’ series, her mother has showered her with praises.

In this recent season of the widely watched series, Fantana has faced backlash for her involvement with Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz, who is known for his womanizing ways.

Fantana has since been criticised for pursuing the Tanzanian musician despite the red flags, with many questioning her sense of judgment.

She has also found herself caught in the ongoing drama between Diamond and his baby mama, Zari, both of whom still seem to have unresolved feelings for each other.

Also, some have labeled Fantana as being “blinded by love” and unable to see through Diamond’s obvious manipulations, which has sparked a stir on social media.

But despite the ongoing controversy, Fantana’s mother, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has taken to social media to celebrate her daughter for her achievement in the prestigious series.

“From raising a queen to watching her shine on Netflix! So proud of you, Fantana, for achieving greatness and representing us on the big stage. The world is yours!” Fantana’s mother, who doubles as the MP for the Jomoro constituency wrote.

Dorcas Affo-toffey’s extolment of Fantana has sparked mixed reactions, with some netizens questioning whether her role in the series’ recent season is truly worth celebrating.

About Fantana and ‘Young, Famous and African’ series

In 2023, Fantana made waves when it was announced that she would join the cast of Netflix’s ‘Young, Famous, and African’ Season 2, which premiered on May 19, 2023.

Following her impressive debut in that season, she was retained for the latest season (3).

Fantana was cast alongside high-profile celebrities such as Annie Macaulay-Idibia (Nigeria), 2Baba (Nigeria), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Zari the Boss Lady (Uganda), Naked DJ (South Africa), Khanyi Mbau (South Africa), Nadia Nakai (Zimbabwe), Swanky Jerry (Nigeria), Andile Ncube (South Africa), Kayleigh Schwark (South Africa), and many others.
