Football fans across the world were left stunned on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, when N’Golo Kanté, one of the calmest players in world football, was caught on camera losing his temper during Al Ittihad’s 2–1 win over Al Nassr in the King’s Cup.

The French midfielder, who played the entire 90 minutes had a rare flash of anger after a contentious call from the referee.

Having cleanly defended an attack, the ball appeared to deflect off an Al Nassr player and roll out of play.

To Kanté’s disbelief, the official awarded the throw-in to Al Nassr instead.

What followed was a sight few had ever seen, the normally calm and smiling World Cup winner was seen waving his arms and angrily protesting the decision.

The clip instantly went viral, sparking widespread disbelief online. For many fans, it was almost unimaginable to see Kanté upset.

Social media reactions summed up the shock and humor of the moment, with users joking that if Kanté was angry, “humanity had entered the endgame.”

Others called it proof that “water has finally become wet,” capturing how rare the incident felt.

Despite the controversy, Kanté’s performance remained typically brilliant, covering every blade of grass, breaking up play, and helping Al Ittihad secure a crucial 2–1 victory over Al Nassr.
