Netizens have been reacting after a video depicting Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido enjoying a popular Ghanaian delicacy popped up on social media.

Davido arrived in Ghana on November 1, 2024, and wasted no time linking up with several celebrities in Ghana.

Videos showed him with musician Showboy and later at a restaurant with Dancehall sensation Stonebwoy.

What set tongues wagging, however, was a video of Davido relishing a bowl of popular Ghanaian dish, fufu and light soup.

In the video, Davido could be heard saying, “My favourite Ghanian dish is Ghanaian fufu and light soup”

His comments have led to reactions from social media users from both Ghana and Nigeria with many praising his humility and genuine enjoyment of the local cuisine.

Some users humorously claimed Davido is now an honorary Ghanaian.

“He’s enjoying.” “He’s a Ghanaian now.” “Thumps up to Davido. When it comes to food abeg o, Nigerians should step aside,” were some of the comments.
