Scores of Ghanaians have called on Black Stars head coach Otto Addo to field fringe players in the final group game against Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Fans argued that since senior players like Antoine Semenyo, Kudus Mohammed, Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey, Alexander Djiku, and others have featured in most matches, it would be wise to give them rest.

They see this as an opportunity for fringe players to showcase their potential and boost competitiveness within the squad.

Many football supporters expressed optimism that Ghana will beat Comoros convincingly to cap off their impressive performance in the World Cup qualifiers.

During the Sports Debate show hosted by Benjamin Sackey on GhanaWeb TV, some fans dismissed calls for Otto Addo to be sacked, even if the team secures qualification for the Mundial.

Ghana recently thrashed the Central African Republic 5-0, securing a significant win that puts the nation in a strong position to qualify for the tournament.

The Black Stars currently lead Group I with 22 points, followed by Madagascar with 19 points, while Mali and Comoros occupy third and fourth positions with 15 points each.

Ghana will face Comoros in their final group game at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 12, 2025.
