An overly excited fan jumped on stage and held Black Sherif, also known as Blacko, Iron Boy, and Kweku the Traveller, so tightly that the artiste could barely move during his performance at Telecel TurnUp on Valentine’s Day at the University of Ghana.

On February 14, 2026, during Blacko’s set, the fan clung to him so closely that even security personnel, including bouncers and a police officer, struggled to free the artiste. Eventually, the bouncers lifted the fan by his arms and legs and threw him back into the crowd.

After the incident, Black Sherif addressed the audience, saying, “You guys should keep calm and let’s enjoy this thing,” before continuing his performance.

Before resuming his set, Blacko took a moment to appreciate the love his fans had shown and subtly responded to critics online who doubted the authenticity of his fan support.

“This is my first performance in 2026 in the month of love. 2025 was a good year. You guys show me real love. Some of the people on the internet think your love is fake, but we’re here and you know the love is real,” he said.

The University of Ghana campus was alive with Telecel Ghana’s TurnUp, a star-powered music and dance experience that climaxed Akwaaba Week for freshers.

Students eagerly anticipated the high-energy spectacle headlined by Black Sherif, KiDi, and Kweku Smoke.

Black, armed with an arsenal of popular street anthems, brought his signature intensity to the Athletic Oval, keeping the crowd fully engaged.

A fan att@cked Blacko at the Telecel event and was handled by bodyguards.

Later Black Sheriff was seen throwing shots at people who drag him on the internet.😂😂
