The grandfather of the beloved ‘Okay Baby’ has fiercely refuted the police-made claim that the toddler was not properly buckled into his car seat when he died in a tragic car wreck.
Two-year-old Preston Ordone, who captured the internet users’ hearts through viral videos shared by his influencer parents Katelynn and Jaelan Ordone, died after his family’s Ford F-150 truck slammed into a tree in rural Louisiana on April 24.
Police said Preston was ‘improperly restrained in a child safety seat’ when he passed away – a claim his grandfather, Glen Norris, found deeply offensive.
In a Facebook post, Norris reportedly addressed the ‘hurtful and painful’ statements made by police.
He also spoke with NOLA, revealing Katelynn, Jaelan and Preston were on their way home from the doctor’s office when the truck veered off the road.
While speaking with the outlet, Norris reiterated that Preston was strapped in, saying he spoke with a witness who told him the baby was correctly restrained in his seat.
He added that reading what he claims was false information from the police department was infuriating.
Lisa Norris, Katelynn’s mother and Glen’s wife, has also spoken out to provide updates on her daughter and Jaelan’s conditions.
