Nations FC attacker, Emmanuel Annor says they deliberately shifted their focus to the MTN FA Cup following a difficult start to the league season, a decision that has now paid off with a place in the final.
The Sky Blues secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Aduana FC in the semi-final at the Swedru Stadium, with Annor scoring the decisive goal just eight minutes into the game.
Despite Aduana’s strong response and clear determination to fight back, Nations FC held firm defensively to protect their early lead and book their spot in the 2025/26 FA Cup final.
Speaking after the match, Annor highlighted the team’s mindset and unity as key factors behind their success.
“It’s really important for us because we all know we didn’t start the league very well,” he said.
“So, we channeled everything into this FA Cup. Throughout the week, we’ve been having a lot of discussions amongst ourselves, and glory be to God, it happened today.”
Nations FC will now face the winner of the second semi-final between Medeama SC and Dreams FC as they aim to lift their first major trophy.
