Former Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant is being accused of threatening to kill a teenager after allegedly striking him during a parking-lot confrontation in Southlake, Texas on Sunday.
Bryant, 37, received a Class C misdemeanor citation for Assault by Contact after being handcuffed by local police in the viral incident. He is due back in court on November 20.
As 19-year-old Noah Reyes and his friend Terrance Avery told the New York Post, Bryant was upset with the two teenagers for honking at him on a Southlake street. Then the former Oklahoma State standout allegedly began threatening the pair as they parked next to him at a nearby lot.
‘You better not park that car and get out or I’ll stomp your face into this pavement,’ Bryant told the pair, according to Reyes.
Reyes said he attempted to put some items in his back seat only for Bryant to mistakenly assume the 19-year-old was grabbing a firearm.
‘He accused me of trying to get a gun,’ Reyes said. ‘He thought I was going in my car to get a gun.’

It was then that Bryant returned to his car, Reyes claimed.
‘He was reaching in the door,’ Reyes said. ‘He was like come over here. He was like, “You over here threatening me? You threatening me?” He was like, “You going to die today. I’ma shoot you. I’ma kill you. You’re not going to live to see another day.”‘
Reyes attempted to record Bryant with his phone, but the former Cowboys star allegedly knocked the device out of the 19-year-old’s hand before spiking it on the ground.
As Reyes later told the Post, his ‘screen saver was shattered.’
Reyes also claimed Bryant punched him in the hand, adding that he has a bump that ‘feels like a bruise.’
Fortunately, no firearms were recovered from the scene and nobody was seriously injured.
‘Several callers reported that multiple individuals were involved in the altercation as well as a possible weapon,’ a Southlake PD representative said in a statement.
‘Based on that information, officers drew their firearms upon arrival as a precaution to address any potential threats and ensure the safety of everyone at the scene. Several individuals were temporarily detained as part of the investigation. No firearms were recovered at the scene.’

Reyes told the Post he plans to sue Bryant, while both he and Avery have demanded a public apology.
Bryant told police the two teenagers cut him off on the road, but he did admit to knocking the phone out of Reyes’ hand.
Bryant also said police pulled their guns on him and the two 19-year-olds in front of his daughters.
‘I get on the ground,’ Bryant told Outkick.com. ‘My lady pulled up, she got my children, and they seen everything that’s going on.’
Officers handcuffed each of the men and questioned them before putting Bryant in the back of a squad car.
‘I would rather you guys take us all down to the police station and do the proper investigation instead of just taking somebody else’s side,’ Bryant said. ‘I felt like it was very one-sided.’
