Former Ghanaian athlete, Bismark Amponsah Nuamah, has broken down in tears over what he calls years of government neglect despite the many sacrifices he made for the country.
According to Bismark Amponsah Nuamah, he gave his youth in service of the country while competing as a 100 metres runner from 1975 to 1979.
In a viral video sighted by GhanaWeb Sports, Bismark Amponsah broke down in tears the moment he was asked if any government official had reached out to him in his old age.
“I competed at the highest level for Ghana as a 100m runner from 1975 to 1979 but now I’m left to my fate in my old age,” he lamented.
