Ladies Day at Cheltenham returned with a bang – and plenty of fizz – as glamorous guests dressed in faux fur and feathers showed up in their droves to enjoy the second day of the races.

The event dedicated to female attendees was renamed the more gender neutral ‘Festival Wednesday’ in 2020, and was further rebranded as ‘Style Wednesday’ in 2025.

But now the decades-old title has made a triumphant comeback, with revellers voting with their feet on the decision.

On Tuesday, 57,242 turned up to enjoy the famous race course, with many predicting Cheltenham will see a good recovery this year after 2025 recorded the lowest attendance numbers in a decade.

For the first time, racegoers are allowed to drink in any area around the course, while prosecco has been added to the bar menu and Guinness prices are cheaper than last year.

Revellers were seen in high spirits as they partied while dressed to the nines in their tweed and faux fur just metres away from celebrities, including Made In Chelsea‘s Georgia Toffolo, broadcaster Claire Balding, darts player Luke Littler and actor James Nesbitt, as well as royal guests Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, Zara and Mike Tindall and the Princess of Wales‘ mother Carole Middleton.
