Frank Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as Appiah Stadium, has addressed claims of insulting business mogul Dr Osei Kwame Despite, clarifying that he had no intention of doing so.
According to Appiah Stadium, he holds Dr Despite in high regard, considering his caliber as comparable to another business magnate, Ibrahim Mahama, who is also Appiah’s sponsor.
He explained that if he had indeed insulted Despite, Ibrahim Mahama would have disowned him.
Speaking in a self-made video, Appiah Stadium further accused bloggers of twisting his conversation with Despite.
He expressed frustration, warning bloggers against misrepresentation.
“There are certain people who are destroying the blogging profession, and if people don’t take care, next time I might hurt someone,” he said.
He elaborated on the circumstances of the alleged insult, saying, “I met Despite at Asuma Banda’s funeral, and we were having a conversation. Someone wrote that I insulted Despite. A lot of people have been calling me, and I am scared.
“Why would I insult Despite? Even Ibrahim Mahama would have disowned me because people of his caliber would cut ties with anyone who insults them. Ibrahim Mahama is the one I depend on.
“I was just joking with Despite.”
