Epixode’s consideration came hours after his colleague Shatta Wale shared similar news

Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artiste, Epixode, has taken to social media to celebrate after his song “Chooboi” was approved for consideration in the Best African Music Performance category at the 68th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

The news was confirmed when Epixode shared a screenshot of the Recording Academy’s submission summary on his Facebook page on October 2, 2025, highlighting his entry among the global acts being considered.

The screenshotted section of the submission form captured “Chooboi” under the “Best African Music Performance” category.

In the post, Epixode wrote, “THE JOURNEY IS TOUGH BUT IT IS WORTH IT … BLESSING IS NEAR,” declaring that his hard work may soon reap international recognition.

Epixode’s news came hours after his colleague Shatta Wale shared similar news of his 2025 song “Street Crown” also being up for consideration.

The news has since been met with positive reactions from fans and social media users.

It comes amid an increasing wave of Ghanaian musicians pushing for more visibility in international awards circuits.
