His detention, per reports, is connected to the ongoing questions about the tax obligations of his yellow Lamborghini Urus, money laundering claims and so on.

In a video update, Shatta Wale’s media manager, Samuel Atuobi Baah popularly known as Sammy Flex, explained that the legal and management teams are currently working to secure his release.

“Before they can continue with the case (EOCO), they want to give him bail. A bail condition of ten million Ghana cedis (GH¢10 million) with two sureties has been placed, and I can promise you that management and legal officers of the dancehall king are working feverishly on this, and hopefully, we should work this out,” Sammy Flex said.

Shatta Wale’s current detention follows an earlier move in August when EOCO, working alongside the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), seized the yellow Lamborghini Urus.

Authorities alleged the car was stolen and linked to the proceeds to a serious international fraud scheme.

Meanwhile, Shatta Wale’s management has assured his fans, known as the “SM Family,” that the artiste is cooperating fully with investigators.

Sammy Flex also urged fans to remain calm and avoid speculation, noting that the legal team is in discussions with authorities to resolve the matter.
