Ghana has come to a standstill, as the whole country has been united in grief to lay to rest eight patriots who died in the tragic August 6 helicopter crash at Adansi in the Ashanti Region.
Today, August 15, 2025, a state funeral is being held at Independence Square in Accra, bringing together high-profile political dignitaries, bereaved families, and citizens from all walks of life to honour the memory of the fallen heroes.
The entertainment fraternity is also well represented, with several notable stakeholders present in full force.

Abla Dzifa Gomashie
Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Member of Parliament for the Ketu South Constituency and former Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, has been spotted at the ceremony, captured in a solemn mood.
Clad in an all-black outfit, Dzifa Gomashie, who has not hidden her grief since the tragic incident, is at the event to pay her last respects to her deceased colleagues.

Kwame A Plus

Cecilia Marfo
Gospel singer, Cecilia Marfo, also arrived at Independence Square in a solemn state, clad in a long blue-and-black straight dress with white polka dots.
She was also there to honour the memory of the deceased.

Nacee
Gospel singer and songwriter Nana Osei, popularly known as Nacee, is also in attendance at the service.
Prior to this, Nacee shared a heartfelt tribute on social media, honouring the eight statesmen.
He accompanied the message with his song Prayer Interlude (Extended Edition), using his music to offer prayers and comfort during this time of national mourning.
Diana Asamoah
Evangelist Diana Asamoah has been spotted in a black ‘kaba and slit’, paired with a matching headscarf and dark sunglasses, as she joined the nation in mourning during the final funeral rites of the eight gallant men who lost their lives in the line of duty.
