The Minister of Energy and Green Transition, John Jinapor, has held a high-level meeting with key stakeholders in the power sector to review the nation’s electricity situation and map out strategies for the future.

The meeting, described as crucial, centred on ensuring that Ghana maintains a consistent and reliable supply of power in line with the government’s commitment to keeping the lights on for all consumers.

Stakeholders discussed progress achieved in recent months, challenges confronting the sector, and the growing demand for electricity driven by population and industrial growth.

The session also reviewed long-term plans and policy frameworks aimed at strengthening the energy mix and guaranteeing an uninterrupted supply across the country.

According to the Minister, the government’s goal is straightforward: to safeguard energy security while driving Ghana’s green transition agenda.

“We are committed to providing stable, affordable, and sustainable power for every Ghanaian household and business,” Jinapor assured.
