Gospel musician Empress Gifty and controversial preacher Evangelist Mama Pat, alias Nana Agradaa have faced off again at the Tema High Court as their GH¢20 million defamation continues to unfold.

The case, which was filed by Empress Gifty, stems from allegedly damaging remarks made by Nana Agradaa in recent months while the latter was beefing with her husband, Hopeson Adorye.

Their first courtroom encounter occurred on May 26, 2025. That hearing ended controversially when Nana Agradaa and her husband reportedly discarded the writ of summons after leaving the courthouse, a move that drew public criticism.

Earlier today, June 11, 2025, both parties returned to court for the second hearing. A viral video from the day captured Nana Agradaa dressed in an all-white ensemble, confidently leaving the court premises while mockingly using Empress Gifty’s well-known catchphrase, “Noko Fine,” during a brief interaction with the press.

Empress Gifty, on the other hand, appeared calm and composed in a striking sea-blue outfit.

She was in the company of her husband, manager Edem, radio personality Mike Two, her lawyers and many others.

While Empress Gifty opted not to speak to the media, her lawyer briefly spoke and disclosed that their move to file an injunction against Nana Agradaa from making further defamatory comments against their clients saw an opposition from the lawyers of Nana Agradaa who claim the things the latter have said were just insults.

Currently, the case is still in its early stages so we wait to see how things unfold.
