Ghanaian boxer Emmanuel Mankattah Sackey delivered a commanding performance to defeat Nigerian fighter Muhammed Olalekan and capture the UBO Africa Super Featherweight title on May 10, 2025.

The fight, held at the Idrowhyt Events Center in Dansoman, saw Sackey, dressed in red and blue shorts, dominate the early rounds with a relentless barrage of high-volume punches that quickly began to wear down his opponent.

Olalekan, wearing black and green, countered with a series of crucial shots in an attempt to regain control of the bout.

However, Sackey’s dominance grew as the match progressed. In the fifth round, he landed a powerful blow to Olalekan’s face, sending the Nigerian to the canvas.

Unable to recover, Olalekan was counted out, and the referee declared Sackey the winner by knockout.

With this victory, Sackey’s professional record now stands at nine wins by knockout, two draws, and three losses from 14 bouts.

The win marks a major milestone in his boxing career and sets the stage for his pursuit of more prestigious titles.

“This is just the beginning,” Sackey remarked after the fight. “I’m focused on writing my name in Ghana’s boxing history.”
