    Ellembelle DCE nominee commends John Mahama on his nomination

    The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, has nominated Ellembelle NDC Constituency Secretary, Joseph Agyekum as Ellembelle District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Western region.

    Joseph Agyekum was nominated on Friday, April 4, 2025 and awaiting approval from Assembly members of Ellembelle district.

    He played a very key role as the Constituency Secretary in President John Mahama’s victory in Ellembelle in 2024.

    In his statement to thank the President, the Ellembelle NDC Constituency Secretary stated that, “I am profoundly grateful to Almighty God, HE John Dramani Mahama, and good people of Ellembelle for the trust and confidence reposed in me by nominating me to serve as the District Chief Executive for Ellembelle”.

    He pledged his total commitment to support President John Mahama to succeed in Ellembelle district.

    “Even as I embark on this new phase of my political journey, I am minded by the weight of expectations the people of Ellembelle and HE John Dramani Mahama have in me and I do not take the confidence reposed in me for granted”, he assured.

    He, therefore, took the opportunity to thank the rank and file of Ellembelle NDC and also national executives of the party for rallying behind him.

    “I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the leadership of the National Democratic Congres, from National, Regional, Constituency to Branch Executives for your unwavering guidance and encouragement throughout this journey”, he commended.

    He added that, “My sincere thanks to all stakeholders, including our traditional leaders, party folks, assembly members, political actors, and the vibrant youths of Ellembelle. Together, we can foster an environment of peace, unity, and development that will benefit every citizen in our district”.

    He promised to work with all the good people of Ellembelle if confirmed as Ellembelle DCE to develop the district.

    “My vision is to collaborate with all of you to address the challenges we face and to harness the opportunities that await us. By working hand in hand, we can build a prosperous future for Ellembelle, ensuring that every voice is heard and every need is met”, he promised.

    He emphasised that, “Once again, thank you for this incredible opportunity. I am excited but cautious about the journey ahead and committed to serving with due diligence, dedication, and integrity

    We cannot fail the good people of Ellembelle. So help me, God”.
