Popular Ghanaian actress and media personality Gloria Sarfo has raised concerns about challenges faced by voters during Ghana’s general elections, held today, Saturday, December 7, 2024.

In a post shared on her social media platforms, the actress called on the Electoral Commission of Ghana to address issues that prevented many citizens from casting their votes.

According to the award-winning actress, a significant number of Ghanaians were unable to participate in the elections due to adverse weather conditions, including heavy rainfall, and other logistical challenges.

Her post read, “Dear Electoral Commission… A lot of Ghanaians didn’t get the chance to vote, due to rainfall and other challenges… Kindly find a way to resolve this!! Thank you.”

She ended her caption with the hashtag #GhanaIsOURS.

Gloria Sarfo’s post has since sparked widespread discussions online, with many social media users echoing her sentiments and urging the Electoral Commission to implement measures to mitigate similar challenges in future elections.

Some have suggested extending voting hours or organizing supplementary voting for affected areas.
