In the Greater Accra area, some special voters have been observed posting pictures of their filled-out ballots, which show which presidential candidates they have supported.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s John Mahama and the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Those implicated may face legal repercussions for this grave violation of ballot confidentiality.

The process’s credibility is compromised by the release of used ballots, which also emphasizes how important it is to strictly follow election regulations.

The appropriate authorities have not yet started their investigations to apprehend the offenders.

Ahead of the general elections on December 7, special voting, which is now occurring at a few polling places throughout Ghana, enables particular people—such as media representatives, security guards, and electoral officials—to cast their ballots. This activity guarantees that they will be able to carry out their responsibilities without any obstacles on election day.

The Electoral Commission (EC) estimates that approximately 131,478 people, or 0.007% of the 18,741,159 total electorate, will take part in today’s special voting.
