    ECG announces power outages in Tema and Ogbojo due to maintenance and cable faults

    ECG announces power outages in Tema and Ogbojo due to maintenance and cable faults

    The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced scheduled power outages in two key areas due to maintenance works and technical faults.

    In Tema, ECG will undertake planned maintenance on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM to enhance service delivery.

    The affected areas include Star Steel, Dawhenya Township, Abbey Kope, Adotey, Miotso, Ghanaian Soccer Academy, Abia, Prampram, Kpoi Ete, Central University, Ososhie, P.S. Global, Devtraco, and Methodist Junction and its surrounding areas.

    ECG has apologized for the inconvenience, stating, “We regret the inconvenience that will arise out of this exercise.”

    Meanwhile, residents of Ogbojo Asafoatse, Otinshie, Ability, Dzen Ayor, Rev. Owusu Bempah area, Galaxy International School, and Twumasewaa Hospital area are currently experiencing a power outage due to an underground cable fault.

    ECG has assured affected customers, saying, “Our engineers are working to rectify the fault and restore supply.”

    The company expressed regret over the situation and urged customers to remain patient as efforts are being made to restore electricity as soon as possible.
