Self-styled doomsday prophet Evans Eshun, popularly known as Ebo Noah, has recounted his experience behind bars following his recent arrest.

Speaking during a TikTok live session on January 24, 2026, he described the weeks in custody as a tough experience.

“Being in cells for three weeks was not easy. It was fun though. In the morning you sit like a monkey, that’s the term there and at night you sleep like a fish,” he shared.

Ebo Noah was arrested by the Ghana Police Service’s Special Cyber Vetting Team on December 31, 2025 but was granted bail on January 15, 2026, of GH¢100,000 with two sureties, one of whom must provide verifiable security in the form of landed property or a vehicle.

The case has been adjourned to March 18, 2026, for further hearing.

Ebo Noah, who had claimed that God would destroy the world with a flood on December 25, 2025, has been charged with publication of false news with intent to cause fear and panic.

The court emphasised that bail conditions must be strictly complied with, warning that any breach could result in the revocation of bail.

The case is expected to resume on March 18, 2026, giving both the prosecution and the defence more time to prepare.

Prior to his arrest, the self-proclaimed prophet had constructed what he described as an “ark” at his residence, claiming it would save humanity from an imminent catastrophe. When the predicted disaster did not occur, he stated that his prayers had postponed the destruction.
