A woman who captured the hearts of thousands after she was snapped snacking on fairy floss at the Melbourne Cup carnival has launched a new business.
Karly Tsivoglou became known as Fairy Floss Girl in 2016 when the Daily Mail photographed her striding through Oaks Day crowds while shovelling fist-sized chunks of cotton candy into her mouth.
The pictures of the brunette, who was a teenager at the time, set the internet alight, earning her 26,000 loyal new Instagram followers as men everywhere pledged their love for her.
Radio host Kyle Sandilands said she was ‘hotter’ than Selena Gomez.
At the time, she was blown away by all the attention and later told the Daily Mail she was ‘happy’ for the viral photos to resurface every year.
Ms Tsivoglou started freelancing as a makeup artist and had a son in the years following her overnight fame.
But she fell on hard times in 2023 after her parents split up and she appeared in court for a series of dishonesty matters.
Following two additional court appearances last year for a highway patrol matter in Prahran, the Daily Mail can reveal the 26-year-old has turned things around and registered a company.

Karly Tsivoglou fell on hard times and appeared in court, but she has just launched a new business
Ms Tsivoglou, now 26, on October 25 registered the business name Dealz4Realz to an address in Oakleigh, south-east Melbourne.
At this early stage, there is no obvious website and the function of the business is unclear.
Her once-popular social media accounts, some of which feature the famous fairy floss photos as the profile picture, have mostly been shut down or abandoned.
Ms Tsivoglou was represented by Legal Aid in 2023 when she faced Moorabbin Magistrates Court and admitted to one count of handling stolen goods, five counts of obtaining property by deception and one charge of theft.
The court heard she admitted the crimes in January last year through the court’s diversion program, which is often offered to first-time offenders and designed not to destroy a person’s life.
She was released on a 12-month bond on the condition she provided an apology to the court, but failed to do so and was charged with breaching the order.
Ms Tsivoglou managed to walk away from court without a conviction.
When the famous photos were taken in 2016, Ms Tsivoglou was at the event with her friend Alice Woodfall.

She previously said they ‘had a few glasses of champagne, put a few bets on and just enjoyed the sun’, and had no idea about her internet stardom until the next morning.
‘I woke up this morning with so many messages and screenshots of the photos! I was honestly shocked!’ she said at the time.
‘My social media accounts have been going crazy all morning!’
Tsivoglou said she’d received her share of compliments at the races but was shocked by the number of people ‘professing their love’ once her photos went viral.
‘A few people claimed they were in love with me,’ she said.
‘But both Alice and I were getting a lot of positive compliments throughout the day.’
She started regularly sharing photos of nights out and poolside holidays on her social media.
However, her online presence took a turn when she had a son and turned her attention to being a mum.
