Asante Kotoko Head Coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has been named the NASCO Ghana Premier League Coach of the Month of December and January.
Ogum led Asante Kotoko to an impressive unbeaten run in six games, winning five and scoring 11 goals.
Under his leadership, the team secured 16 points out of a possible 18, conceding just three goals. These results propelled Asante Kotoko to the top of the league with 34 points.
Notable victories included a hard-fought 1-0 win over rivals, Hearts of Oak, a crucial top-of-the-table clash against Bibiani Gold Stars, and a dominant 4-1 triumph over newly-promoted Vision FC.
As a reward for his outstanding performance, Dr. Ogum will receive a 42-inch NASCO television set.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak’s Mawuli Wayo was crowned the NASCO Player of the Month for December and January following his exceptional performances. The winger played a key role for his team, scoring three goals in seven matches, including a match-winner against Accra Lions in an away fixture, where he was also named Most Valuable Player.
He won two Player of the Match awards and will also receive a 42-inch NASCO television set.
Additionally, Asante Kotoko’s Mohamed Camara was named the Goalkeeper of the Month for December and January. The shot-stopper was instrumental in Kotoko’s six-match unbeaten run, keeping three clean sheets while securing five wins and one draw.
Camara conceded just three goals during this period, beating strong contenders such as Benjamin Asare (Hearts of Oak), Masawudu Inusah (Aduana FC), and Dari Aziz Haruna (Bechem United) to claim the award.
As part of his prize, Camara will receive a pair of gloves, a branded towel, water bottles, and a T-shirt.
