Ghana’s entertainment industry came together in a show of solidarity on Saturday, April 26, 2025, as dozens of celebrities gathered to mourn with actress Roselyn Ngissah and her family during her late mother’s one-week observance.

The solemn event, held at Patty’s Event Centre in East Legon, saw an impressive turnout of actors, actresses, and gospel musicians paying their respects to Madam Elizabeth Ngissah.

A gathering of stars from both Kumawood and Ghallywood in attendance among the notable figures present were John Dumelo, Nana Ama McBrown, Nadia Buari, Salma Mumin, Vivian Jill Lawrence, Gloria Sarfo, Nikki Samonas, Kafui Danku, Kofi Adjorlolo, Zynnell Zuh and many others.

The gospel music community was also well represented, with celebrated artists including Diana Hamilton, Obaapa Christy, and Celestine Donkor (who attended with her husband) offering spiritual comfort to the bereaved family.

Ngissah announced the passing of her mother, Elizabeth Ngissah, in an Instagram post on April 7, 2025.

She revealed her mother’s last request for food and wrote a heartfelt tribute honouring her as both a loving parent and a dedicated educator who impacted generations of students over 40 years.

The final funeral rites for Madam Elizabeth Ngissah have been scheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2025.
