Popular Ghanaian gospel musician Selina Boateng has advised women not to remain in relationships solely for sexual satisfaction.

In an interview with Hitz FM on September 1, 2025, Boateng stressed that relationships built primarily on physical intimacy are unsustainable and often lead to emotional distress.

“If you get a guy and you love him so much because of the sex, it is not love. If you are thinking that because he satisfies you, you won’t let him go, you are wrong,” she said.

Boateng cautioned that such relationships often breed insecurity, leaving women anxious about infidelity.

“You will always be thinking that he is cheating on you or dating other girls, and you will not be able to rest. So it is best to let the man go,” she added.

Her advice aligns with her earlier call for young people to thoroughly study their partners before marriage and resist external pressures in relationships.
