Founder of the Alabaster International Ministries, Prophet Kofi Oduro, has called on the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Jean Mensa, to ensure fairness in the December 7, 2024 elections.

In an Instagram video shared on December 5, 2024, Prophet Oduro urged the EC to maintain neutrality and respect the will of the voters, emphasising that the power of the people outweighs any form of manipulation.

“I want to address the Electoral Commission. By the grace of God, I have tried my best as a man of God to remain neutral. The Electoral Commission must ensure that the will of the people is respected. Whether you like it or not, the power of the people is more powerful than any manipulation,” he stated.

He also praised the EC for quickly retracting its initial decision to grant accreditation only to people at the coalition centres, stating that it was a wise move in light of the potential backlash from the nation.

“Your initial decision to accredit only people at the coalition centres was very prudent of you to retract so quickly. Because the vengeance of this nation was not going to be easy for you. Madam EC and your other commissioners, do what is righteous in the sight of God and in accordance with the law of Ghana, and you will know peace,” he added.

Prophet Oduro also urged supporters of all political parties to maintain peace during the election period.

“Now let me tell all supporters of any political party involved in this election: If your party can win the election without our support, you won’t be disturbing our ears. It is the people who are not affiliated with any political party who choose who should win. So, when you go to vote, do so peacefully and return home without causing any issues,” he added.
