Ghanaian rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong, popularly known as Medikal, has strongly criticised TV3, demanding that they stop playing his music on their platforms from now on.

His comments come in response to a recent show aired by the media house, where guests were discussing which Ghanaian artistes realistically stand a chance of winning a Grammy award.

During the conversation, Sarkodie‘s name was brought up, and a guest claimed that Sarkodie‘s career had ended, an assertion that has sparked outrage among fans and industry figures.

Sarkodie, the most decorated rapper in Ghana currently, was mentioned as a potential Grammy contender.

However, the dismissal of his relevance did not sit well with Medikal and other creatives, who have since taken to social media to express their discontent.

Medikal, in particular, did not hold back.

He took to his X account to express anger, accusing TV3 of showing blatant disrespect toward a legend in the music industry.

In his post, Medikal criticised the entire station, including the production team of that particular show, demanding that his music be removed from their platform.

“Dumbass station, stupid ass admin, foolish boy! Nonsense camera man, everybody for TV3 ein moda! Make una no play my music again. Kwasiafoɔ, ehiafoɔ, mboa!” Medikal wrote in pidgin.

In recent weeks, some media platforms have come under scrutiny due to comments made by their guests.

Max TV experienced a similar backlash when they were criticised for their guests denigrating musician Cina Soul live on air.
