Ghanaian content creator Seddy Nam has said that as a content creator, putting everything on social media can take the mystery and fun out of the content.

Speaking in an interview on TV3 on July 17, 2025, Seddy Nam stated she has noticed that people expect her to overshare her things on social media.

According to her, she’s expected to share what goes on behind the scenes of her contents but she feels she needs to add a little mystery to her brand.

“I’ve noticed that a lot, with my videos, people want me to share the BTS, how my day looks like in shooting videos. But sometimes, you need to add a little mystery to your whole brand or the content creation,” she said.

She continued, “When you overshare now, what’s there to share? If I share everything today, what will I share tomorrow? I want to be mysterious and it takes away a bit of suspense.”

She added that putting everything on social media has advantages and disadvantages, advised people to have a good purpose for putting their livestyles out on social media.

“It’s really surprising when I see things like that because I feel like why are you telling us everything? Putting everything on social media and like I said, it has advantages and disadvantages. It’s different if you’re trying to share your experiences with us and you want us to learn from it, then it makes sense.”
