Lead pastor of the Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, has sparked conversations online after issuing a new prophetic warning about looming military takeovers across Africa.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, October 18, 2025, the controversial Ghanaian preacher urged followers not to disregard prophecies, insisting that “God speaks and there are men that hear it directly.”

Sharing screenshots of an earlier prophecy he made, Gaisie had claimed he had foreseen two to three military coups before the year 2026, noting that one was ‘very close.’

“I am seeing about two to three military takeovers in Africa before mid-year 2026… One is very close. Let the watchers of the nations pray. More vigilance!” his earlier message read.

Alongside his post, he included a report by the Nigerian-based news portal Oriental Times about the alleged detention of 16 senior Nigerian military officers over a purported plot to overthrow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The post has generated mixed reactions online, with some followers praising him for what they describe as prophetic accuracy, while others view it as an attempt to link ongoing political tensions in Nigeria to his previous prediction.

One commenter noted the recent political uprising in Madagascar, stating, “Bro, Madagascar is done, add am. Man of God.”

Nigel Gaisie has often made headlines for his prophecies about political events in Ghana and beyond, some of which have stirred controversies and debates among the public.
