Ghanaian Hiplife star, Kwaw Kese

Ghanaian Hiplife star, Kwaw Kese, has publicly reprimanded a fellow unnamed artiste for celebrating prematurely after news broke that his song is being considered for the 68th Grammy celebrations.

According to him, one should wait until actual nominations are announced before claiming victory.

“You have to wait, don’t rush things! No! Wait, my son,” he said.

Kwaw Kese, whose song, ‘Twist,’ is under consideration, said in an interview on Hitz FM on October 9, 2025, that he remained quiet after submitting his nomination and chose instead to “pray over it” and wait for the official confirmation.

He said he was reserving any true celebration for if and when a nomination arrives.

“I didn’t celebrate when I submitted. I didn’t come out celebrating like I have achieved something.

“I have been waiting. If the nominations come out and our song is nominated, that is where I will dirty myself. I will jump and bang on the whole place. But now, I have submitted. I have to keep quiet, pray over it and hope that I get nominations. That’s how it works,” he said.

Kwaw Kese, however, stated that he meant no personal “beef,” but was rather trying to teach his “son” proper discipline.

“If you are a father and you can’t teach your son principles, then you are not a good father. So, my son did wrong and I just said it. It has nothing like beef. I’m too old for beef,” he said.

He further warned that he would troll foolishness, and that the more his critics react, the more he would laugh.
