Donald Trump has weighed in on the race between seven NFL teams to hire John Harbaugh, with the President telling the in-demand head coach to go to the New York Giants.
Harbaugh was fired by the Baltimore Ravens this week after 18 seasons as head coach, sparking an ongoing fight between multiple teams to convince him to take over their organization.
The 63-year-old will take his time to decide what comes next but will return to coaching for the 2026 season and if Trump has his way, that will be with the Giants.
Taking to Truth Social on Saturday afternoon, Trump wrote: ‘The New York Football Giants should hire, without question, John Harbaugh – And John, a great guy, should TAKE THE JOB!!! President DJT’
It’s the second time Trump has bigged Harbaugh up on Truth Social. Shortly after the Ravens and Harbaugh parted ways this week, he posted: ‘HIRE JOHN HARBAUGH, FAST. HE, AND HIS BROTHER (Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh), ARE TOTAL WINNERS!!! President DJT.’
Reports Saturday also said that Harbaugh was doing his research on the available head coaching vacancies.

Harbaugh, a Super Bowl winner in 2013, left the Baltimore Ravens after 18 seasons this week
Aside from the Giants, the Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins are both in the pursuit to sign Harbaugh up as their head coach.
The Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders and Arizona Cardinals are also on the hunt for their new head coach, meaning Harbaugh is not short of possibilities.
Last July, Harbaugh met with Trump in the White House following an invite from the President and he took his brother, Jim, with him.
The move was seen as controversial by some, given that Trump once described Baltimore as a ‘disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess’ where ‘no human being would want to live.’
When quizzed about the decision to meet with Trump six years after those comments, Harbaugh said: ‘I would have framed that question like: “You got a chance to go visit with the president, man. What was that experience like?”
‘It was amazing. It was awesome. And I promise you I root for our president. I want our president to be successful just like I want my quarterback to be successful and I want my team to be successful, and it was an amazing experience.’
He departed from the Ravens after their dramatic 26-24 Monday night loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers removed them from playoff contention.
According to a report in The Athletic on Saturday, Harbaugh was told he had lost his job over the phone, driving to the Ravens facility to get back to work.

The Giants are considered the favorites to hire Harbaugh but the Dolphins could well be on to watch.
They did not fire their head coach, Mike McDaniel, until Harbaugh was made available via his Ravens dismissal and Dolphins owner Stephen M. Ross is a known admirer.
The Giants were also said to be impressed by former Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce, who they interviewed Thursday. Pierce played for the Giants and won the Super Bowl in 2008 with the team.
