Former Real Madrid player Vinicius Tobias got his baby’s name tattooed on his arm, only to find out he is not the biological father.

The Shakhtar Donetsk right-back and his ex-wife Ingrid Lima celebrated the birth of Maite earlier this month, prompting the Brazilian to tattoo the words, ‘Maite, I love you’ on his body. But the influencer has now revealed a DNA test proved the 20-year-old footballer is not the real father. She also said that she got with another man after splitting with Tobias some time ago.

She said, via The Daily Mail: “I came to give a statement about something that is getting annoying and that, unfortunately, I would have to come out on publicly to give you an explanation. Vinicius and I haven’t been together for a while. During that time, I was in a relationship with someone and so was he. We both moved on with our lives. ‘In the meantime, Maite came along. We decided to do a DNA test, and Maite is not Vinicius’ daughter.”

The Sao Paulo-born defender, who played just once for Madrid’s first-team during a loan spell last season, is reportedly yet to comment on the result of the DNA test. It is also not yet known who the actual father is.

Tobias, who played on loan for Real Madrid Castilla between 2022-24, could be in action for Shakhtar on Tuesday night when they take on Arsenal at the Emirates in their next Champions League encounter.
