The 2026 Awake Experience reached its defining peak when gospel star Diana Hamilton mounted the stage at the ICGC Christ Temple East in Teshie and led a stirring rendition of her hit song “Aha Yɛ,” bringing the packed auditorium to its feet in unified worship.

What had already been a strong night of praise and reflection turned into a powerful, shared declaration as hundreds of worshippers sang along word for word, many with hands lifted, others dancing in celebration.

Held on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the ICGC Christ Temple East, this year’s Awake Experience drew a large crowd eager for an evening of spirit-filled ministration.

The programme opened with worship that gradually drew the congregation in.

Voices blended smoothly with live instrumentation, gently setting the tone for the night.

Gospel musician Siisi Baidoo was among the first to take the stage, delivering a heartfelt ministration that warmed up the auditorium and established a reflective atmosphere.

He was followed by Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta, who shifted the energy completely. With confidence and rhythm, he moved the crowd into a vibrant praise session. When he performed his popular song “You Dey Feel the Vibe,” the response was immediate. The auditorium lit up as the congregation clapped in sync and sang along.

South African gospel powerhouse Ntokozo Mbambo then led an intense session of spirit-led worship, drawing the entire auditorium into unified adoration. Her powerful yet soothing vocals created a moment of deep reverence.

When veteran Ghanaian minister Elder Mireku mounted the stage, the atmosphere softened. His seasoned voice led many into quiet reflection, creating one of the most solemn moments of the evening.

The legendary Tagoe Sisters later brought back the tempo with high-energy praise. Their timeless songs stirred excitement, with many in the audience rising to their feet to clap and dance.

But it was when Diana Hamilton stepped forward that the night reached its climax.

Calm and deeply connected to her audience, she led a carefully curated ministration blending testimony, worship and praise. Between songs, she exhorted the congregation to remain spiritually awake and grounded in gratitude.

She performed some of her well-loved songs, including “Yehowa Behwɛ,” “Wasem,” “Nsenkyerɛne Nyankopɔn,” and “Mo Ne Yo,” each drawing a strong reaction from the crowd.

Midway through her set, she introduced “Aha Yɛ,” translated as “This is a Good Place.” Even before the first verse, the response from the audience was immediate.

She was joined on stage by Ntokozo Mbambo and Elder Mireku. Taking turns on the verses, the trio blended their distinct styles seamlessly before lifting the chorus together in powerful harmony. Ntokozo’s soulful depth merged effortlessly with Elder Mireku’s timeless tone, while Diana anchored the performance with commanding grace.

As they sang the chorus, the congregation echoed the words back in unison, turning the song into a collective declaration. Worshippers rose from their seats, hands lifted, singing at full volume. By the final chorus, the applause was loud and sustained, with many remaining on their feet even after the music stopped.

In a night filled with strong performances, “Aha Yɛ” became the defining moment of the 2026 Awake Experience, the point at which the entire room moved as one.

The programme was also graced by prominent political and religious leaders, including Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye.

Also present were Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations Sam George, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Member of Parliament for Akuapem North Sammi Awuku and Member of Parliament for Ketu North Edem Agbana, among other celebrities.
