The legal representatives of gospel musician Evangelist Diana Asamoah have threatened to take legal action against a lady in an aerial video accusing the musician of being a lesbian.
According to a press statement from Zoe, Akyea & Co. acting on behalf of the musician, Evangelist Asamoah is not a lesbian and does not engage in any form of lesbianism.
“There is a slanderous video circulating on social media in which a lady of unknown identity is insinuating that our Client, Evangelist Diana Asamoah, is a lesbian.
“We have the instructions of our client to assert in no uncertain terms that she is not a lesbian and does not practice lesbianism in any form or kind,” part of the statement said.
Zoe, Akyea & Co.’s law firm, further challenged the unidentified woman in the video, urging her to come forward and substantiate her claims in a court of law.
The legal team emphasized that should the accuser fail to do so; the general public should disregard the defamatory video as baseless and treat it with the contempt it deserves.
“In the circumstances, we are throwing a challenge to the lady in the video to own up and justify her vile allegations, so we contest her baseless claim in a court of competent jurisdiction.
“”If this lady does not boldly come out of her rut to justify her rantings, the general public should treat the circulating video with the contempt it deserves,” the statement added.
