Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz has revealed that some of the children he raises are not biologically his, but he still cares for them as his own.
In an interview on Way Up with Angela Yee, Diamond was asked how fatherhood has impacted him, especially considering how involved he is in the lives of his children.
In response, the award-winning singer explained that although he is aware not all of the children he’s raising are his by blood, he continues to take full responsibility for them without holding any resentment toward their mothers.
“Well, first of all, I know I do have kids. But I also know that some are not my kids. But I don’t want to argue with the mother and all that, but I take care of all of them. Four to five, you know, as I say, these things sometimes can get crazy… and I take care of all of them. I really try my level best to make sure that I take good care of them,” Diamond said.

He shared that he discovered the truth through a DNA test, but insisted the revelation hasn’t changed how he treats the children.
Diamond also spoke about his relationship with the mothers of his children, stating that they have a good relationship. However, he noted that some of their current partners feel uneasy around him, even though his romantic relationships with the women have long ended.
“Me, I’m very cool with all my baby mamas. They love me. I don’t want to lie to you. They like me. I’m a good person to them. I mean it. It got to a point sometimes, their men, they get mad at me. They get mad at them thinking maybe we have something. No, we don’t have something. We got nothing going on,” he added.
