The Deputy Minister of Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, has lauded the dedication and patriotism of National Service Personnel who recently completed their one-year mandatory service at the Ministry of Defence.
At a brief ceremony held at the ministry’s square, Genfi commended the personnel for their hard work, professionalism, and valuable contributions to the operations of the Ministry and the nation at large.
“These young Ghanaians have brought not only skills but also patriotism and commitment to national duty. Their service has been instrumental in advancing the work of the Ministry, and I encourage them to carry along the values of integrity, professionalism, and service to the nation in whatever future path they choose,” he stated.
The Deputy Minister emphasised that the Ministry of Defence is guided by core values that reflect national pride and responsibility, urging the personnel to let these values shape their careers and inspire them to contribute meaningfully to national development.
In recognition of his support and encouragement throughout their service year, the personnel presented a certificate of appreciation to the Deputy Minister.
The National Service Scheme mandates every Ghanaian graduate to serve for one year in various sectors of the economy, including education, health, and security. At the Ministry of Defence, personnel play crucial roles in supporting administrative and operational functions.
Genfi expressed confidence that the experiences gained during their service will empower the young graduates to become responsible leaders and agents of positive change in society.
