Lady Dentaa Amoateng MBE, the CEO of GUBA Enterprise, has made it clear that politics is not part of her plans, despite her growing influence in Ghana’s public life.

Her remarks follow recognition from Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who recently named her among recipients of a diplomatic passport. Dentaa acknowledged the honour but stressed that her focus remains on her current work, not on political office.

“Not now. I feel like I still have a lot of work to do. The work is huge. So I prefer to keep doing what I am doing. Because what I do affects the government anyway. It benefits the government. I want to be where I am. I am happy with where I am,” she told Kwame Dadzie and Doreen Avio on Hitz FM on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

She has also partnered with industry players to boost Ghana’s tourism and facilitated collaborations between Ghanaian and international artists.

In addition, Dentaa previously served on the Governing Board of the Ghana Tourism Authority, where she contributed to policies promoting the country’s cultural and tourism appeal.
